--She is extremely sensitive to UV/Sunlight. If exposed for any longer than absolutely necessary, she will break out in hives and rashes. As a result of occasionally being in sunlight anyway, her arms are covered in freckles. Her horns, scales, and tail all get spotty/uneven shedding, causing charcoal-colored patches all over.--She is allergic to casting natural magic of any kind. This doesn't necessarily stop her though, and sometimes she will be inclined to keep going until she passes out. Luckily, however, she rarely engages in any battle or conflict.--Despite being an alcoholic, she's ( ...still ) extremely lightweight.

ok but who is she

Luna Kagon is a reserved and often misunderstood mid-20's medical scientist with a huge appetite, iconic scowl, and a bad habit of accidentally going overboard.She was selected by the Forum to move out to the Moon to assist with and be accustomed to Loporrit technology. In truth, she got banished for going beyond Old Sharlayan's medical practice. Her methods are unorthodox, but they never failed or proved harmful; in fact, they're more effective than Sharlayan methods despite essentially reverse engineering them.She focuses more on administering medicine through technology rather than through concoctions ( though she always loves a good ol' fashioned potion mixing ). Luckily, Loporrits seem to be quite welcoming of these methods and encourage her to continue on the condition that her methods remain effective and harmless to all.Outside of work, Luna is a rat creature. quite a hobbyist ! She will literally sleep all day. ...ok really she likes stargazing, listening to music, creating contraptions with scrap either for her own novelty or by commission, among other things.
She also enjoys going out to eat local cuisine ( and by god does she eat ) though she prefers to drink and/or smoke by herself if possible.
She's also known to bartend in some taverns across Eorzea.Occasionally she will move back down to Etheirys to take house calls or visit old friends and family. Though she isn't a people person, or even the most approachable, her name-- rather her alias "Panacea," --gets around from satisfied patients, as well as adults and children alike who marvel at her mammets and other contraptions.
She is welcomed and lauded by most who meet her.

Born in the Azim Steppe as part of the Kagon Tribe and named after the full moon she was born under, Luna grew up close to her mother, as she took after her. Luna, her sister and her mother all had naturally brown hair. However, to spite her rather unpleasant father, her mother would dye their hair purple as a sign of defiance and independence.
Luna would often be taken abroad to Eorzea with her mother on her regular excursions to Vylbrand, not only to potentially protect her from being handled by her father, but to explore the world outside of the vast desert landscapes. During these outings, Luna would be left in the hands of The Maelstrom, as her mother would regularly trade with the Company and donate native goods and such. She was killed by a wild Jormungandr in Middle La Noscea and it would be covered up as to not upset or traumatize Luna so early in her life. In a spur of the moment reaction, the Admiral of The Maelstrom would swiftly take her under her wing. The death of Luna's mother would be kept secret until her teenage years, which directly sparked her rebellious phase and spurred her to join the Arcanist's Guild to be able to defend herself.

Luna's time at the Arcanist's Guild was short, as she was only willing to attend nighttime classes. She was regularly bullied and moved to exclusively one-on-one teachings with the Guildmaster. However, Luna was still unable to make the most of the curriculum and decided to move to Ul'dah to try and become a Thaumaturge. Thaumaturgy resonated with her and she ended up excelling in her classes, but this is where she also discovered she has a mild/developing aetheric allergy. She decided to refuse the guild's materia transfusion process as to not further harm herself.
Luna persisted with her training despite the pain and fatigue and made a name for herself among Ul'Dah. However in the face of real danger, Luna would be unable to act. She froze in fear as news came about a previously-restrained parade Goobbue wreaked havoc through the Ul'Dahn streets. This unfortunate event would push her to return home to Limsa Lominsa. Luna would stay home throughout the Calamity scare.~ It is also here that she discovers her allergy to specific aspects of aether, and realizes that she can no longer channel it as efficiently without getting very ill, among other side effects. ~->A Realm Reborn ( 2.X )
Five years later, at around 18 years old, Luna would finally try to come out of her shell once more. She would officially enlist in The Maelstrom and take up Astronomy. Somehow this worked well for everybody! Luna would chart constellations for the various fleets and occasionally scribble around the edges of the pages, no magic required! Merlwyb advised against this, but decided to rescind this choice after observing positive feedback and increased morale from different crews. Luna would practice thaumaturgy in secret, as she still sought revenge on the creature that killed her mother. This day would eventually come and she would emerge victorious, as well as receive a letter of recommendation from a Y'shtola Rhul. Luna would decline joining her seemingly rag-tag team. However, Luna would eventually observe the "Scions of the Seventh Dawn" from The Maelstrom's perspective and occasionally lend a hand on the field alongside them with... mixed results, of course.

With Ishgard's gates opened just a little bit, Luna was able to shuffle through as an ambassador to help with negotiations for the Dragonsong War. Given her lack of, well, people skills, any negotiations were best left with her being silent moral support and more map-related jobs to help with the Ishgardian ground forces. On the brightside Luna got to explore Dravania and the other regions of Coerthas!

Nothing of real note happens during this time period. She was not present for the fight on Baelsar's wall, and had no earthly idea what was happening in the Far East outside of her continued regular excursions to the Nhaama Desert in attempts ( sometimes failures ) to meet up with her tribe. In addition, due to not being of any real significance to the Scions, she was not ( accidentally ) pulled into The First, nor was she aware that any of this happened.Instead she just continued life as normal. Imagine that.In the meantime, she would rise through the ranks and become a Maelstrom Captain, cementing her role as a vital member of the fleet. Though she would decline promotion to Admiral, with this high renown she would purchase The Bismarck in Limsa Lominsa and ""retire"" to a newly built home in Kugane's Shirogane residential ward. She would then only be seen leaving her house strictly when called for emergency deployment, at night tracking constellations for her maps, ...or to raid The Bismarck's weekly inventory.

After a year or two of casual remote work, Luna would graduate from The Maelstrom and move to Old Sharlayan, becoming one of the first Othardian/Eorzean ambassadors for the Forum. She submitted a grand thesis on astrology and time magic, citing her experiences working for the Maelstrom. The Forum recognized and accepted her accomplishments in astrology--ignoring her abilities with time magic--and granted her the title of Archon. To her surprise ( and rather surprising disappointment ), this resulted in many things she wasn't expecting; including exclusive residence in Old Sharlayan and mandatory regular meetings with both the Studium and Forum. Out of spite, she requested to receive her tattoo on her right glute.
This opened her opportunity to expand her horizons and officially advance from Time Mage Astrologian.
She would soon separate from the Forum proper and go remote, joining Physis Technon, an Old Sharlayan-based pharmaceutical company focused on developing new medicines. From here she would take up learning Somanoutics and become a distinguished Sage within Sharlayan and occasionally abroad.

In present day, Luna still mainly keeps to herself. She was granted residence in Labyrinthos underneath Old Sharlayan! Thanks to its artificial sun and real-time projections of the sky, she is able to enjoy sunlight without burning or suffering unpleasant shedding, as well as continue creating star charts for the Maelstrom (they can't seem to get enough of her work). She began practicing alchemy and found out a method of blending traditional alchemy and medicine with Somanoutics.
She refers to her pseudo-profession as being an "Artificer".
( Yes, ditching the "Sage" title altogether, curse her. )On occasion she is called up to assist in medical work, mainly further development and direct testing of Somanoutic technology as well as attending regular wellness checks to observe the effects of the artificial aether on her body. And although she is not a licensed doctor, among the Sharlayan community she is a renowned medic and is sometimes affectionately referred to by her patients and students as "Dr. Panacea." Though she doesn't favor it, she accepts it as praise for her contributions to the community.

Luna continues her work in Old Sharlayan, working month-long terms with month-long breaks in between. Her overexposure to the artificial aether has long since begun taking a slight toll on her body- it has reduced her vision in her right eye, and overall function in her right arm. However, she is nearing a breakthrough in her ( non-aetheric ) medical research, and plans to request the title of Archon of Medicines in a final graduation, as well as resignation from Physis Technon, and permission to permanently migrate out of the nation......To the Moon...?
Setting up in a side chamber within Bestways Burrow, Luna occasionally assists the Loporrits with their never-ending preparation of the Moon's facilities, providing medical resources and miscellaneous supplies for any Way that requests her assistance.
